PDV salt has a wide range of applications, suitable for basic chemical industry, petrochemical industry, printing and dyeing industry and other industries with high requirements on the quality of salt.-The content of sodium chloride is above 99.8%.

Large quantities of sodium chloride are used in many industrial processes, and it is a major source of sodium compounds used as feedstocks for further chemical syntheses.

A second major application of sodium chloride is de-icing of roadways in sub-freezing weather.
